NRL crowd figures

While the majority of NRL crowds within stadiums and of course nationally and internationally on television are growing, there are 1 or 2 Rugby League clubs that need to heavily improve their local crowds to ensure gate takings are sufficient in NRL 2008.

Recent strugglers, Cronulla have failed to put bums on seats at the Sutherland base. Crowd figures continue to drop, and of course money is down. Penrith is another struggling club in terms of people through the gate - while they won the NRL Premiership as recently as 2003, since then results have dropped as has their followers.

Similar to Souths, many clubs should undertake a membership drive to boost numbers.

Roosters to revive in 2008 NRL

They were dead ducks before the season really got started in 2007, the Roosters were the laughing stock of the NRL as former coach Chris Anderson really couldn't spark the Bondi boys into action - possibly years out of action turned Anderson stale as he struggled for motivation and ideas at the popular Rugby League club.

As Brad Fittler took over, their NRL season turned around totally - the Roosters nearly making the finals and giving themselves hope for 2008.

With some major off season buys in Mason and O'Meley - the Roosters under Freddy are genuine contenders again, if Mini gets back on the football field look out as they will really challenge the likes of the Storm, Eels and Manly.
